«The French government neglected to close its national borders at the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, instead imposing ‘borders’ around every citizen in the form of a strict quarantine, according to journalist François Lenglet.
Lenglet slammed the misguided approach during a recent interview, calling it “absurd.”
“We delayed closing the borders for ideological reasons,” Lenglet said. "A quarantine, what is it? It’s like a border.
So each one of us is in his own little republic. We’re not allowed to go out so we don’t contaminateothers and so we won’t be exposed. That’s the definition of a border.” “We’ve closed the borders, but just around each one of us.”
Lenglet asserts France should have sealed its borders as soon as the budding pandemic became known.
“They tell us, ‘The virus doesn’t respect borders!’ Excuse me?” Lenglet said. “The virus doesn’t travel by foot, but in people, in whom it travels across borders. If you block the people, the virus is blocked as well.”
“I think that the ideology concerning borders has become detrimental.”
France has imposed one of the strictest national quarantines in the world.
Residents are now required to produce a government form stating their purpose for travel any time they are outside of their homes, as Infowars Europe has reported.
However, flights originating in China and New York City are still landing in Paris.
France has 59,105 confirmed coronavirus cases and 5,387 related deaths at the time of this writing.»

«A video out of Berlin shows Muslim worshippers flagrantly violating Germany’s quarantine law and social distancing rules by congregating outside a mosque as police fail in attempting to disperse them.
The clip shows dozens of Muslims crowded outside the Dar-as-Salam mosque in Berlin’s immigrant-heavy Neukölln district as the Islamic call to prayer is broadcast on a loudspeaker.
The gathering is in total violation of Germany’s new lockdown law, which bans gatherings of more than two people and mandates social distancing.
At one point, a police officer tries to tell the crowd to disperse or at least stand further apart from each other, but he is totally ignored.
Large crowds are seen gathered both inside the gates of the mosque and outside spilling onto both sides of the street.
Some of the worshippers are wearing masks and gloves but most don’t have any protection.
At several points during the clip, the worshippers shout “Allahu Akbar.”
As the call to prayer ends, the worshippers walk away from the mosque and some of them are seen to be leaving in taxis and cars, proving they didn’t walk to the building.
Men are then seen hugging each other, totally ignoring social distancing measures in place to stop the spread of coronavirus.
At the end of the clip, six more police officers are seen to be doing nothing to enforce the law.
As we previously reported, when police attempted to enforce a quarantine law by closing down a mosque in Pakistan, they were chased away by a violent mob.
Throughout Europe’s “sensitive” migrant-heavy ghettos, police are finding it almost impossible to enforce quarantine and social distancing, to the point where a government official in France suggested authorities not even bother trying.»

«As COVID-19 continues to disrupt trade flows and keeps more than 2.5 billion people under lockdowns, some grain exporters, including Russia and Kazakhstan, are taking a nationalist turn by restricting or planning to restrict exports to ensure enough supplies for their own populations.
The export curbs take place against the backdrop of panic buying that has left supermarkets with aisles of empty shelves. The scarcity is not due to a shortage of supplies but to logistical hurdles created by measures to contain the pandemic.
Experts fear restrictions on the exports of wheat and wheat flour could lead to higher prices of essential items such as bread, proving lethal for many of the poorer countries in Africa that rely on imported food. High bread prices are known to have sparked riots and caused political instability, especially in Africa.
“Since most poor countries, many of them in Sub-Saharan Africa, are net food importers, sudden price hikes will almost inevitably raise poverty and hunger, because these countries have very limited capacities to respond to shortages and price rises e.g. by drawing down buffer stocks,” Rainer Thiele of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy told DW.
Rainer, however, does not expect a wave of food nationalism across all major grain exporters.
“EU member states as well as other important players on the world markets for grain such as the United States, Canada and Australia will in all likelihood keep up their supplies,” he said. “Still, some other relevant actors such as India, the largest exporter of rice, may follow the Kazakh and Russian example.”
Here is a list of countries that have curbed or are in the process of curbing exports of essential food products to ensure stable supplies for their nationals as the coronavirus pandemic spreads further.
Russia
The world’s biggest wheat exporter wants to limit grain exports to protect domestic supplies as the fast spreading coronavirus pandemic disrupts supply chains globally. The Russian Agriculture Ministry has proposed to limit the exports of some grains, including wheat, to 7 million tons for April-June.While the proposal, which needs to be signed off by the Cabinet, is in line with the expected end-of-season Russian shipments, it has sparked concerns among traders that Moscow could impose further export restrictions, as it has done in the past to deal with high domestic grain prices or poor harvest.
“It is a symbolic gesture, but a worrying one,” one European trader told Reuters. “Is this a first step in moves to reduce exports to preserve Russia’s own food supplies amid the coronavirus? This is the worry.”
Ukraine
In Russia’s neighbor, Ukraine, a major exporter of grain and vegetable oils, the government is monitoring wheat exports daily and has said it would take appropriate measures, if required. The government in Kyiv has been facing demands from bakers and millers to curb grain exports and prevent bread prices from soaring if the coronavirus crisis worsens.

This move by Vietnam is causing a lot of attention in the international market, a European rice trader told Reuters news agency. “If food-exporting countries start limiting supplies to secure their own food security, this would be of very great concern.”

«Walmart stores in New England are sealing off entire aisles with products deemed “unnecessary” in attempts to combat the scourge of shoppers wandering around to relieve coronavirus quarantine fatigue.
According to CBS Boston, Walmart in addition to Home Depot and BJ’s Wholesale stores in the town of Chicopee, Massachusetts, worked with the city health department to “reduce unnecessary roaming around aisles and putting others at risk.”
A photo taken by Chicopee Police shows a Walmart aisle sealed off with yellow rope and signs informing customers of the closure.
In Vermont, Walmart, Target and Costco stores statewide also agreed to block off items from customers, including everything “from clothing, toys, electronics and jewelry to paint, gardening and sports equipment,” according to Today.com.
A photo circulating on social media showed vegetable seeds intended for planting were also off-limits to customers in Vermont stores.
“By order from the state of Vermont, items in this “non-essential’ area are not available for purchase,” a sign blocking off the seeds reads.
With cities around the country ratcheting up the extreme Orwellian measures by the day, it’s only a matter of time until this practice spreads to stores nationwide.»

«Politicians in Germany are working to import migrants waiting on islands in Greece, arguing they can be housed in private hotels currently empty due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dirk Behrendt, a Greens Party member serving as Minister of Justice and Anti-Discrimination in Berlin, is demanding some 1,500 'underage' migrants be resettled in the capital region, according to Junge Freiheit.
"We have a lot of vacant hotels in Berlin that could also be used to accommodate refugees," Behrendt reportedly said during a recent interview.
"We have capacities," he asserted. "The fact that the people of Lesbos [Greece] live in makeshift tents in the rain and cold is unworthy of the European Union."
Behrendt, along with other German officials and activists, are calling for private accommodations to be used for migrant resettlement, including hotels, vacation rentals, and church-owned properties.
"If something does not happen very quickly at the federal level - and for me that is more a matter of hours than days - then Berlin is also willing to take its own steps together with civil society organizations and fly people from Lesbos," Behrendt said.
“It is very difficult to justify why the federal government managed to fly more than 170,000 holidaymakers from all over the world within a few days in the corona crisis, and at the same time failed to free the refugees on Lesbos from their intolerable situation and bring them to Germany.”
Behrendt's demands echo those of the Refugee Council of Lower Saxony, which is pressuring German authorities to relocate migrants from 'crowded' reception facilities into private accommodations around the country to 'protect their health' during the crisis, as Infowars Europe recently reported.»

«Several countries have reported faulty or contaminated equipment from China to combat the deadly coronavirus which also originated in China.
A range of products have been delivered to countries overwhelmed by the global Covid-19 pandemic from China.
However, the gesture and goods haven’t quite passed the bar in some cases.
Yesterday, Australian officials reportedly seized facemasks exported from China to help combat the spread of the virus.
The Australian Border Force seized around 800,000 defective facemasks worth around $12m AUD.
National File recently reported on a viral video of a Chinese factory worker snickering as he rubbed facemasks on his shoe.
The UK reported of Covid-19 testing kits sent from China found to be contaminated with the coronavirus when they were being surveyed by a Luxembourg-based company.
The delivery of the kits were delayed by the contamination.
Last week, Spain returned faulty Covid-19 testing kits after the Spanish government bought the kits from an unauthorized Chinese company.
The first batch, of around 9,000 kits, found that only 30% tested the patients for the virus with reliable accuracy–even though an 80% level of accuracy was expected, according to the New York Times.
The head of Spain’s public health emergency department Fernando Simon said: “Spain obtained several providers and supply routes. The first one sent a batch of 9,000 tests that were validated at the National Center of Epidemiology and some hospitals (in Madrid).
“The specifications of the batch did not match up with the certification of quality that came with it, which meant they had to be returned and the company will change them.”
The Netherlands was forced to recall around 600,000 China-made masks as they failed to meet specifications. The Czech Republic also reportedly returned sub-par Chinese equipment–some of which was diverted from Italy–designed to help battle the pandemic.
China has struggled to meet standards as they scramble to reach global demand for protective, medical equipment to help stifle the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Over 900,000 people worldwide have tested positive for the coronavirus, with more than 46,000 deaths recorded.»

«Residents in Wuhan, the origin of the coronavirus outbreak, have told reporters that “nobody believes the official numbers” being touted by the communist Chinese government, and that the general consensus is it could be 100 times worse than the world is being told.
While Whuan is reopening its transport systems and businesses, residents are adamant that they have not been informed of the true scale of the situation, according to Spanish newswire service EFE.
“There are suspicions that many people died in their homes without being diagnosed and, at first, there were no kits to do the test,” one resident said, adding that “Many people would die, officially, of a cold or some other disease. But there are stories going around of citizens who were made to sign death certificates of relatives without any other explanation.”
“Nobody in Wuhan believes the official numbers. The real one, only they know,” the resident said, pointing to the sky.
The report states that while frustration has led to a huge number of residents questioning the official narrative in social media chat groups, it has also led to a massive increase in censorship by the government.
The Spanish reporters pointed to reports suggesting that the number of urns provided by just 7 funeral homes in Wuhan adds up to between 30,000 and 40,000, while the Chinese government says that less than 4000 people have died from coronavirus.
A report by the independent Chinese media outlet Caixin estimated that just one of the funeral homes handed out 5,000 urns in one day last week.
The Spanish journalists attempted to interview workers at one of the funeral homes, but were stopped and turned away by authorities guarding the facilities.
Other residents told anti-Communist newspaper The Epoch Times that they simply cannot believe the government’s assertions about the death toll.
“Just exactly how many Wuhan residents have died from the virus if the line at the cemetery is so long?” one resident said, adding “China’s official media reported over 3,000 coronavirus deaths. I think the real figure is at least ten times the official figure, and even 100 times is not impossible.”
“The citizens of Wuhan believe that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) concealed the true death toll,” the report states.
It continues “They made this judgment based on two facts: one, the lines outside the funeral home to collect the ashes are very long, and two, the medical standards of European and American countries are higher than those in China.
But the reported death rates in these countries are higher than that of China.” Another Wuhan resident told Radio Free Asia “They are saying that only a few thousand died here in Wuhan, but does that sound right?”
Both the US and the UK governments are of the belief that China is hiding the real scale of the pandemic, estimating that it could be 15 to 40 times worse than the communist state admits.»

But before the social fabric of America becomes unstitched – households are to crack first. Their finances are piss-poor, with no savings and insurmountable debts, which include auto, credit cards, and student loans.
At the beginning of March, we noted how the gig-economy was about to crash, and by looking at the employment data that has come out since, along with future estimates, it’s pointing to an economic depression that could be arriving as soon as the second quarter.
Households are in rough shape. Many people are heavily medicated, own weapons, and have some sort of substance use disorder, suggesting that in periods of extreme financial stress – suicides could increase.
What’s concerning is that a suicide wave among low-income folks, who are already feeling the side effects of job loss, could be imminent.
President Trump warned in the last week of March that nationwide lockdowns must be reversed to prevent “tremendous death” from the economic depression, referring to the likely increase of suicides. The 2008 Great Recession resulted in more than 10,000 suicides.
The Great Depression resulted in tens of thousands of people taking their own lives. If the economy continues to be shuttered through April and or even May, then the depression will deepen, and suicides will increase. That is just the nature of the beast.
“People get tremendous anxiety and depression and you have suicide over things like this, when you have a terrible economy, you have death,” President Trump said this week.
And with that being said, on Monday, a Pennsylvania man upset over losing his job due to the virus shutdown shot his girlfriend and then killed himself in an attempted murder-suicide. While this is only one incident, all the evidence above suggests suicides across the country will increase in the weeks or months ahead.
What could come next is social unrest – households are crushed, have no money and or job, and that is likely why President Trump signed an executive order last Friday to call up as many as one million National Guard and reservists – not just to fight the virus outbreak – but to maintain social order.»

Tedros’s victory was also a victory for Beijing, whose leader Xi Jinping has made public his goal of flexing China’s muscle in the world.’
Beijing and Mugabe had an understanding: he would not criticize Chinese colonialism and exploitation of Africa’s resources; they would support him. In December 2015, Mugabe gushed about Xi at the China-Africa summit in Johannesburg. He called the Chinese autocrat ‘a God-sent person’.
But Tedros’s capitulation to the world’s worst actors isn’t the biggest problem with WHO as an organization. WHO slow-walked its coordinated response to the Ebola epidemic in 2015, which killed more than 10,000 people on the continent of Africa alone. The whole organization is evidently unfit for purpose: it needs to be abolished and replaced. Tedros’s goal seems to be turning the WHO into another United Nations, a body that delivers impotent lectures without ever taking politically sensitive decisions. The world demands accountability and action. It demands both come from the country behind this all and its puppet leader at the WHO.»

Marxist UN WHO Boss Must Be Put on Trial, Critics Say
With United Nations World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of Ethiopia serving as a mouthpiece for the Communist Party of China on the global stage, questions and concerns about his shadowy communist past are growing louder. Considering his scandal-plagued background, critics have gone so far as to say that “Marxist revolutionary” Tedros should be on trial for crimes against humanity — not sitting atop the WHO barking orders at national governments and peddling Beijing’s propaganda to humanity. So far, though, the establishment media has largely remained silent about the emerging firestorm.As The New American reported shortly after his tenure began, Tedros, who has no medical degree but got the top UN job with fervent backing from Communist China, is an actual communist with a long pedigree in the movement. Before taking up his perch at the WHO, Tedros was most prominent for his government posts in a tyrannical regime, and for his key role in leading the murderous communist organization known as the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). This ethno-Marxist terror group has declared war on freedom and other ethnic groups within Ethiopia. And Tedros played a major role, serving as a top member of the TPLF’s Politburo Central Committee, according to multiple news reports.
The U.S. government previously designated the Marxist group as a terrorist organization for its murders, kidnappings, terror attacks, and more. Citing at least a dozen terror attacks on private citizens, religious figures, private property, non-governmental organizations, journalists, and other targets spanning more than three decades, the Global Terror Database continues to list it as such. TPLF also joined forces with other mass-murdering Marxist-Leninist parties and formed the “Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front” (EPRDF), an alliance that today rules the nation despite having been formally disbanded last year.
While it claimed to have moderated its Marxism-Leninism since coming to power in the early 1990s, in reality, critics say EPRDF governed in a deeply corrupt and autocratic fashion. Tedros, the “right-hand man” of late dictator Meles Zenawi, served in multiple senior positions in the Ethiopian regime over those years, including a term as “health minister” and later a stint as “foreign minister.” His “service” has been widely criticized, so much so that his original biography on WHO’s website initially omitted several of the most important points in his career. That past is now coming back to haunt him as critics dig deep.
As “Minister of Health,” Tedros reportedly played a key role in covering up epidemics. Perhaps the most significant example was his concealing of multiple cholera outbreaks, falsely labeling them water-borne diarrhea and downplaying the crises. He also bullied bureaucrats into silence about these problems, news reports and critics say. Later, as “Minister of Foreign Affairs,” Tedros helped the regime hunt down journalists and dissidents, including those who fled abroad. Human Rights Watch and other groups drew global attention to the regime’s kidnapping and rendition of Andy Tsege, a British father of three who was tortured and tormented for years over his criticism of the dictatorship ruling Ethiopia.
The ethnic group that has been most ruthlessly targeted by Tedros’ TPLF is known as the Amhara. Under the regime of Tedros and his EPRDF cronies, Amhara leaders reported regular human-rights abuses. A U.S.-based group known as the Amhara Professionals Union (APU) publicly lambasted Tedros for his crimes. “APU believes Dr. Ghebreyesus lacks the competence, impartiality, accountability and transparency that we feel are required,” the group said, practically accusing the current WHO boss of pursuing genocidal policies against the Amhara through sub-standard healthcare and even “selective application of contraceptives” that undermined the group’s population growth.
“Such disparities were created and gaps increased across all measures of health in his leadership tenure,” the APU said about Tedros’ anti-Amhara campaign while serving the regime and his “fascist” political party. “Of particular importance is the unexplained 2.5 million decrease in the Amhara population under his healthcare leadership. The Amharas were victimized and punished due to their ethnic background.... Therefore, we at the APU, believe that it would be a travesty of justice if WHO awards its highest position to a person who violated WHO’s core principles and whose deliberate actions and inactions have claimed the lives of millions of Amhara people as well as other Ethiopians.”
The regime that Tedros helped lead also persecuted people in the Oromia region of Ethiopia as it sought to forcibly relocate some 15,000 people to make way for “investment” opportunities. Following the use of tear gas, mass killings ensued as police fired military weapons at disarmed victims outraged about the governmental abuse. That was followed by a government declaration of “emergency” and the mass arrests of some 70,000 people. In his role as foreign minister, Tedros helped track some dissidents down overseas, especially in nearby Yemen, something that drew the ire of British authorities at the time.
Since taking over the WHO with Beijing’s support, Tedros has continued to promote Marxist policies and individuals. Shortly after landing the job, for instance, he named mass-murdering Marxist dictator Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe as a “Goodwill Ambassador” for the WHO. Mugabe, of course, was responsible for genocide against a rival ethnic group, slaughtering tens of thousands of people in an attempt to exterminate them. Tedros has also made a government takeover of healthcare worldwide — euphemistically dubbed “universal health coverage” — one of his top priorities during his term as WHO boss. Peddling “climate” hysteria as a “health” issue is also front and center, according to his own biography.
Some critics say Tedros should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. “If there was ever an example of the failure of globalized institutions, the WHO is it,” said analyst John Martin in a piece published by Rough Estimate headlined “The Crimes of Tedros Adhanom,” calling for the global outfit to be radically reformed or simply disbanded. “In a sane world, instead of leading a global organization, Tedros and his cronies would be put on trial at the International Criminal Court, tried for his crimes, and if found guilty, should spend the rest of his life in prison.”
Of course, as The New American has explained for decades, even the ICC is problematic. For one, it is dominated by the very same forces that put criminals such as Tedros into positions of power in “global governance” institutions to begin with. It also lacks legitimacy, and fails to include any of the traditional legal protections that Americans take for granted. It has been widely ridiculed as a globalist kangaroo court, and top legal experts have told this magazine that it should be disbanded as a fraud. The U.S. government has not ratified the agreement that brought it into existence.
Other critics have also blasted Tedros for his past. Writing in Ethiopian News & Views, for example, writer Abebe Gellaw slammed Tedros for playing the nice technocrat concerned about global health. “But his 12-page campaign CV never mentions his most important experience that made it possible for him to climb the ladder of power within the tyrannical regime oppressing and misruling Ethiopia,” wrote Gellaw, referring to the now-WHO boss and his “ethnofascist” group as a “gang” that was “responsible for all the corruption, killings, torture, mass detention, land grab and displacement” afflicting their homeland.
There is also the fact that Tedros is a boot-licking puppet for the Communist Chinese Party, which has murdered more people than any government in human history. “We appreciate the seriousness with which China is taking this outbreak, especially the commitment from top leadership, and the transparency they have demonstrated,” Tedros said in addition to blasting everyone who referred to SARS-CoV-2 as the “Chinese” virus or “Wuhan” virus. “China is actually setting a new standard for outbreak response.” He also blasted Trump’s ban on flights from China.

Naturally, the entire UN system is using the Communist Chinese virus as a pretext to advance globalism and Big Government — the very same “solutions” offered by the UN to deal with everything from “climate change” to poverty. “Everything we do during and after this crisis must be with a strong focus on building more equal, inclusive and sustainable economies and societies that are more resilient in the face of pandemics, climate change, and the many other global challenges we face,” said UN boss António Guterres, the former head of the Socialist International alliance of communist and socialist political parties (many with the blood of millions on their hands). WHO is also working to become a global health ministry.
However, while WHO seeks more power and prestige, a growing chorus of U.S. lawmakers and media critics is calling for WHO to be investigated, de-funded, and even shut down completely. That would be a step in the right direction. But it would not neutralize the broader threat that the UN poses to American liberty, sovereignty, and self-government.
Legislation currently in Congress, known as the American Sovereignty Restoration Act, would end all U.S. government involvement in the UN. It is currently sitting in the House Foreign Affairs Committee. But with more support from Americans and potentially even from the White House, that dream could become a reality — forever neutralizing the ability of Marxist criminals such as Tedros to interfere in American life.
