«News over the past few days carried reports that the governor of Michigan has decreed that those living in the state shalt not garden. Governor Gretchen Whitmer ordered that stores could not sell seeds and plants, forcing the closure of garden centers and plant nurseries as non-essential. So much for “victory gardens.”
As a result, some have noted that now in Michigan, you can get an abortion, but you can’t buy a lawnmower.
Whitmer’s headline-grabbing totalitarianism aside, the worldwide shutdown of anything deemed non-essential by know-nothing government bureaucrats is now causing the world to rush toward a catastrophic famine.
There are already millions of newly unemployed people who once lived paycheck to paycheck. They are now lining up for desperately needed supplies from food banks. In one example, already on March 30 the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that hundreds of cars had lined up for food at one Pittsburgh-area food bank. “Organizers were prepared to serve 1,700 families, a hundred more than last week when some people were turned away,” the paper reported.
Food itself, however, may become harder to get, as farmers, unable to sell their products, face agricultural catastrophe. Dairy farmers in Wisconsin are dumping thousands of gallons of milk that they can no longer sell. On April 1, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that one dairy operation, Golden E Dairy, “opened the spigot and started flushing its milk into a wastewater lagoon — 220,000 pounds a day through next Monday.” And it’s not just one dairy farm that is being affected. “I think that a lot of milk will all of a sudden be dumped.” Julie Sweney from FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative told the Journal-Sentinel. “Everyone across the industry is feeling distressed now.”
A significant amount of the product supplied by Wisconsin’s large dairy industry is sold through restaurants and other parts of the food-service trade, much of which has been shut down. Without those markets, suppliers are at risk for business disruption. Other farm products are also facing challenges.
“U.S. farmers have destroyed millions of pounds of perishable food like tomatoes, lettuce and green beans because growers lost a vast number of customers after the coronavirus pandemic struck,” reported Paul Brinkman for the United Press International (UPI) news agency.
“It’s a catastrophe, it really is,” Florida tomato grower Tony DiMare told UPI. “It’s been a disaster at every level — lost crops, lost sales, lost packing inventory,” DiMare said.
Meat producers are also warning of supply disruptions. Smithfield Foods, the largest supplier of pork products in the United States, was forced to close a major facility indefinitely due to coronavirus exposure to employees. According to Smithfield, “The plant is one of the largest pork processing facilities in the U.S., representing four to five percent of U.S. pork production. It supplies nearly 130 million servings of food per week, or about 18 million servings per day.”
In its press release announcing the closure of the plant, the Smithfield’s CEO warned that the country’s food supply situation was growing precarious.
“The closure of this facility, combined with a growing list of other protein plants that have shuttered across our industry, is pushing our country perilously close to the edge in terms of our meat supply,” said Smithfield CEO Kenneth M. Sullivan. “It is impossible to keep our grocery stores stocked if our plants are not running. These facility closures will also have severe, perhaps disastrous, repercussions for many in the supply chain, first and foremost our nation’s livestock farmers. These farmers have nowhere to send their animals.”
Farmers in the United States, as well as agricultural processors, are among the chief suppliers of food to not just the United States and North America, but to the world. U.S. agricultural exports over the last eight years have ranged from $129 billion to as much as $152 billion annually, representing food supplies that feed people around the world. If American farmers, food processors, and agricultural equipment companies are impaired or even forced out of business due to the bureaucratically engineered coronavirus economic depression, hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people around the world will be put at risk of hunger and starvation. At best, living standards and general standards of health and welfare will decline significantly.
If this disruption is allowed to continue much longer, the risk of famine and mass death due to starvation increases substantially.»

Put simply, the theory is: Since people will generally sacrifice liberty for security, you can maximize the removal of liberty by first maximizing the removal of security.
Whatever the motive, for certain is that it isn’t only “non-violent” felons being released in the People’s Republic of New York. Consider Vargas: He “has more than a dozen prior arrests for assault, robbery, weapons possession and burglary,” relates the Post, and “had been in state prison on a 2014 burglary conviction until he was released on parole in November 2017, records show.”
Vargas then was rearrested for parole violations and was behind bars until the Love Gov decided to release the miscreant, who, based on his record, was guaranteed to reoffend.
He’s no outlier, either. As the Post reported on Friday, “At the request of the Legal Aid Society, [Democrat] Justice Mark Dwyer freed 18 Rikers Island inmates, including accused murderer Pedro Vinent-Barcia, who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death.”
Also released were “some 329 other violent ones, as well 207 ‘non-violent’ felony detainees, probably drug-traffickers, porno perverts, and other social plagues,” the Thinker writes.
“New York in fact has released 1,500 of these thugs from its Rikers Island prison, the hellhole where they take the really thuggy convicts and detainees, a place so bad that it’s used as a threat to force cooperation with prosecutors,” the site continues. “New York’s prosecutors tried to do that to former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort until they got called out for sleaze tactics and were forced to backtrack.”»

«A Massachusetts sheriff has slammed a court-ordered release of illegal aliens from detention during the coronavirus crisis, asserting most will simply disappear.
A federal judge has ordered Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson to free 45 detainees from the Bristol County Jail, where they had been held in cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement – and releases are set to continue on a ‘rolling basis.’
“The question many people ask is, ‘Are they going to turn themselves in after the COVID-19 incident is over?’” Sheriff Hodgson told a panel from the Center for Immigration Studies.
“And the answer is, ‘No, of course not.’”
The decision to releases inmates back onto the street, which mirrors many others being made across the country, is blamed upon the supposed increased potential for incarcerated persons to contract coronavirus.
“Ironically, of my 850 detainees/inmates, we have had no COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, and this judge is releasing these detainees under a ‘humanitarian’ claim,” Hodgson said.
“I can think of nothing more inhumane than letting dangerous people wander around our neighborhoods, based on a claim that maybe – just maybe – they could contract COVID-19 in the detention center.”
Hodgson said most of the detainees he was ordered to release had criminal histories and were awaiting deportation – however, virtually no restrictions were placed on their movement and no monitoring protocols were established.»

We first reported on the WHO telling countries not to impose travel bans back at the end of January, when the organization released a statement urging against “any travel or trade restriction” while demanding countries not engage in “discrimination” in their handling of the coronavirus outbreak.
In early February, Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus re-iterated this in a statement in which he said that travel restrictions “can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma.”
Right up until the end of February, the WHO continued “to advise against the application of travel or trade restrictions to countries experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks,” despite the rapid spread of the disease.
It has now been revealed that medical experts who were urging countries to impose border controls were silenced.
“[WHO] actually decided not to go ahead with [travel ban recommendations] and not declare a global health emergency but there were a few dissenting voices,” reported Sky News Australia.
“So the official meeting records say there was a divergence of views but they won’t actually go into detail about who was trying to block it. But there were doctors there who wanted to issue travel bans and the World Health Organization blocked it.”
The effort to silence medical professionals from urging countries to enact travel bans was made on January 30 during a meeting of WHO bureaucrats and health experts in Geneva, Switzerland.
A Mount Sinai study found that New York City’s record-high coronavirus cases and deaths were “predominately” due to travel from Europe, meaning that many more lives could have been saved if borders had been closed down earlier.

The letter argues that amnesty for the illegals will help make sure that migrants without access to healthcare or aid from non-governmental groups will have access to healthcare in case they catch the Chinese virus.
Over the last several years, France has become one of the prime destinations for illegal migrants and asylum seekers, seeing three record-breaking years for asylum claims in a row from 2017 to 2019.
Last year alone, the country saw an estimated 138,000 asylum claims, up from 123,000 the previous year.
The illegal immigrant population within France is estimated in the hundreds of thousands with the no-go suburbs of Paris, the Seine-Saint-Denis area, reportedly having at least 400,000 illegal migrants or 20 per cent of the area’s total population.
According to France Bleu, the Portuguese measures for amnesty are temporary for the duration of the coronavirus crisis. Portugal’s border agency has told AFP: “This is not an automatic regularisation.” It is unclear in the letter signed by the French MPs whether or not their proposal would be temporary as well.»

That is 4,500 more than the 33,000 the NHS said had been freed up on 27 March, and nearly four times the normal amount of free acute beds at this time of year.”
One of the reasons for the empty hospital beds is that people who would normally go to hospital for treatment are avoiding doing so because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Experts have warned that this could cause more serious illnesses and deaths in the long term.
Another reason is that a lot of patients were discharged last month early in preparation for the coronavirus surge.
Meanwhile, NHS bosses have said that a new Nightingale Hospital built in Tyne and Wear to deal with extra coronavirus patients may now never be needed.
“I don’t think we will need to open,” said Martin Wilson, chief operating officer for Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The empty hospital beds will prompt questions as to when the lockdown in the UK will end given that one of the core reasons for imposing it in the first place was to buy time in order to prevent the NHS becoming overwhelmed with patients.»

“The proposal is contingent upon the widespread deployment of antibody tests which the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration are in the process of validating in the U.S., Fauci said.”
“Although coronavirus testing thus far has been able to determine if an individual has an active infection, antibody tests report whether an asymptomatic person was previously infected but has since recovered [and is immune], potentially allowing them to return to their jobs.”
Now let’s take that POLITICO article apart.
Immunity certificates would be issued to people who test POSITIVE on an antibody test. Meaning: antibodies in a person’s body are a sign that he has gained immunity from the coronavirus.
But wait. How about this?
Science News, March 27: “Science News spoke with…Charles Cairns, dean of the Drexel University College of Medicine, about how antibody tests work and what are some of the challenges of developing the tests.”
“Cairns: ‘The big question is: Does a positive response for the antibodies mean that person is actively infected, or that they have been infected in the past [and are now immune]…?’”
What??
In other words, when you penetrate an inch below the surface, you find there are even official/mainstream doubts, grave doubts about the meaning of a positive antibody test. It could mean IMMUNE or it could mean INFECTED.
This would be like saying, “The photo either proves there was a sixteen-car wreck on Highway 5 or it was smooth sailing and there was no accident at all.”
Actually, since 1984, a positive antibody test has generally been taken to mean the person is infected, has the disease in question.
So why the sudden turnaround now? Why are Fauci and other government officials claiming that a positive antibody test signals immunity?
Answer: Because, with the widespread use of this simple and quick antibody test (much quicker and easier to perform than the current PCR test), a reason is invented for issuing immunity certificates. And this is what the goal is. Introduce the population to immunity certificates. As a tune-up for the underlying operation, which is:
Immunity certificates for people who eventually receive vaccinations against COVID-19 (and, finally, all vaccines).
Just take the COVID-19 vaccine and you’ll be immune and you can carry with you a certificate, wherever you go—and you WILL be allowed to go here and there and live a normal life. With your paper or digital or tattoo immunity certificate.
Whether the certificate plan will be enacted this time around (COVID-19), or in the next fake pandemic, remains to be seen. But the IDEA is now firmly planted in the public mind. You can win a “gold star” on the blackboard from the teacher—your certificate to a better life. Just obey and follow orders. TAKE THE VACCINE.
Carrot and stick. Be free, or be limited.
If, indeed, we see a COVID-19 vaccine introduced, another variation on this operation would be: “Under Emergency regulations, everyone must take the shot.” But when you do, you’ll get your very valuable certificate of immunity. You’ll win a prize. Isn’t that wonderful?

And in this article, I haven’t discussed questions about what would actually be IN the COVID-19 vaccine. I took up that subject in a recent piece about DNA vaccines. The new DNA technology, if introduced, would PERMANENTLY alter the genetic makeup of the vaccine-recipient.

In March, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research announced the expenditure of “millions in funding to research and develop tools such as vaccines and tests to combat the coronavirus,” Olson reported. “One project that got $828,046 from the agency was aimed at developing a rapid coronavirus test ‘using isothermal amplification and CRISPR technology.’ Among the organizations on the project was the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
Fox picked up the item from Rebel News, a Canadian website.
That’s bad enough. But Fox also reported that the United States contributed funds to the disaster:
According to public documents compiled by the White Coat Waste Project and shared with Fox News, The Wuhan Institute of Virology has been involved with research funded by $7.1 million worth of U.S. government grants from the National Institutes of Health as it has participated in projects in collaboration with U.S. institutions. One grant for research on bat coronaviruses has received $3.7 million and another grant involving injecting viruses into mice's brains got $3.4 million.
It is not clear exactly how much U.S. funding went directly to the Wuhan Institute of Virology because it worked in collaboration with other institutions on the projects funded by the American grants.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology also has official approval from the National Institutes of Health to conduct taxpayer-funded research on animals in what is called “Animal Welfare Assurance” issued by the Public Health Service.
Chinese Coverup
The network also noted that Chinese officials knew the virus was spreading as they permitted tourists and revelers to flood Wuhan for six days before the president warned the public about the outbreak.
As for the lab itself, even worse than the tax subsidies are what they subsidized: unqualified lab workers.
On Tuesday, the Post reported that U.S. diplomatic cables “warn[ed] that the lab’s work on bat coronaviruses and their potential human transmission represented a risk of a new SARS-like pandemic.”
The cables worried that a new lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology “has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.”
The summary of it all is this: With U.S. and Canadian taxpayer support, unqualified Communist Chinese lab workers were mucking around with SARS-CoV-2 at the lab in Wuhan, one of whom unleashed the virus there. Chinese officials repeatedly lied about the virus: how it leapt from bats to humans, how quickly it was spreading, and how many people it killed. Those lies slowed the U.S. response.
The result? Thousands dead in the United States and abroad, and a national lockdown that has wrecked the U.S. economy, with major losses in the stock market and nearly 23 million unemployment claims since March 1.
Stop the Subsidies

The social network will also direct those users to a site where the World Health Organization “lists and debunks virus myths and rumors”, according to the AP.
The report states that “The new notice will be sent to users who have clicked on, reacted to, or commented on posts featuring harmful or false claims about COVID-19 after they have been removed by moderators.”
Facebook is to promote a WHO backed site called “Get The Facts,” where “conspiracy theories” about coronavirus are debunked.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook page Thursday, “Through this crisis, one of my top priorities is making sure that you see accurate and authoritative information across all of our apps.”
The AP report notes that so called ‘fact checkers’ and moderators at Facebook are “up against people’s mistrust of authoritative sources for information, such as the WHO.”
It is hardly surprising that people do not trust the WHO.
For weeks, the organisation parroted the patently false claims of the communist Chinese government regarding the spread of the virus.
Internal Chinese government documents obtained by the Associated Press this week prove that China knew for sure in mid January that the outbreak of coronavirus was a likely pandemic and was highly contagious between humans, yet simultaneously announced, with the backing of the WHO, that there was no “evidence of human-to-human transmission.”
Facebook now faces an even bigger problem with getting users to trust it given that one of its key ‘fact checkers’ was revealed to have worked at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), and has since been placed in charge of debunking articles suggesting that COVID-19 may have leaked from the bio-lab.
This clearly represents a giant conflict of interest, as Zero Hedge reports:
Danielle Anderson, who works at Duke University’s NUS Medical School lab in Singapore, also contributes to Science Feedback – which Facebook has been using to slap “False Information” labels on articles claiming that COVID-19 may have originated at the Wuhan institute – where Anderson worked with bat coronavirus.
A quick search of Anderson’s publications reveals no fewer than nine collaborations with Dr. Peng Zhou – a Wuhan scientist experimenting on bat coronavirus (the mention of whom may result in a Twitter ban).»

Dropping a Dime on the Diseased
Health care workers in a handful of American states are sharing with police the addresses of those who test positive for the virus.
So-called “information sharing” is currently underway in Massachusetts, Alabama, Florida, as well as in parts of North Carolina, ABC News reports.
The information sharing is being done in the name of “keeping officers and EMTs safe,” and works by states directing their local health boards to share addresses of those who have tested positive for the virus.
Florida's State Emergency Operations Center recently announced that they are sharing the addresses of positive case coronavirus patients with first responders.
However, as the ABC report notes, concerns have been raised by both health and privacy activists that health agencies sharing information with the police might cause some to forgo getting tested or treated for coronavirus.
Did You Just Blow Your Nose, Sir?
First highlighted by radio host Steve Gruber, Kent County Chief Circuit Judge Mark Trusock’s April 6 order declares that any citizen deemed to be a "carrier and health threat" can be “involuntarily detained by a peace officer, transported to and detained in an Involuntary Isolation Facility selected by the Health Officer for observation, testing, and/or treatment."
The individual could then be held for at least three days to confirm he or she is “without a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 72 consecutive hours (without use of fever reducing medication) and/or is otherwise non-symptomatic and meets the CDC criteria for release from isolation."
According to the Great Lakes Justice Center, Trusock based the order on state law that authorizes the confinement of individuals who a “court has reasonable cause to believe” is a public health threat. But whereas that law requires a court to assess specific cases before making an arrest, Trusock gave police and health officials blanket permission to decide who may be a threat.»

«A German medical lawyer who criticized the coronavirus lockdown law was arrested and taken to a psychiatric ward, where she says she was violently abused by authorities.
Beate Bahner published a press release on April 3rd decrying the German lockdown laws as “flagrantly unconstitutional, infringing to an unprecedented extent many of the fundamental rights of citizens.”
“These measures are not justified by the Infection Prevention Act, hurriedly amended just a few days ago,” she asserted. “Long-term restrictions on leaving home and meeting others, based on high-death-rate modelled scenarios, which fail to take account of actual critical expert opinions, and the complete shutdown of businesses and shops with no proof that they pose any risk of infection, are thoroughly unlawful.”
Bahner called for a nationwide protest on Easter Sunday to “end the tyranny at once,” before Heidelberg Police announced that they would seek to prosecute her for inciting Germans to break the law.
On April 13th, Bahner called her sister from Heidelberg’s Klinik fur Allgemeine Psychiatrie describing what happened to her.
After claiming she was “suspiciously” followed by a car, Bahner says she asked another motorist to call the police only for the police to show up, handcuff her and push her to the ground “with massive force.”
After being driven to the psychiatric facility, Bahner says she was treated like a terrorist.
“I asked to be allowed to sit down and was shown to a bench. Then I asked to have the handcuffs taken off, since it was actually I who had requested police protection,” she recounted. “But instead, I was thrown to the floor again, having my head hurled onto the stone floor from a meter height, which nobody reacted to.Then I was forced to spend the night lying on the floor in some high-security Guantanamo psychiatric clinic…there was no toilet, no sink, though they did allow me water, and there was a bell I could ring, though they ignored it after the third time I pressed it.”
The lawyer was charged for incitement yesterday, with her attorney sounding the alarm bell over her treatment.
“I shouldn’t have to add Bahner’s claims of very grave abuse have untoward connotations of the darkest chapters of German history,” he said.
“The mere fact she claimed to have been so badly abused was what prompted me to write to you. Bahner is in the company of over 50 well-known experts in criticising the nationwide lockdown; I would be glad to furnish you with a list of their names. If it really is the case lawyers critical of government measures can now be intimidated using the state legal apparatus or psychiatry, and can be professionally and socially destroyed, then it is five minutes to midnight in this country.”
Bahner has won three cases in the Federal Constitutional Court and written five books on German medical law.»

Viruses 101: How Overprotecting People from COVID 19 Could Make it More Lethal
Our wildly anachronistic approach to COVID 19 notwithstanding, we have spent billions for research and know volumes more about viruses and immunity than we did a century ago. The crime is that we the taxpaying public never received a proper education on the subject. I realized that myself 20 years ago when I first read J. R. Paul’s A History of Poliomyelitis. It quietly reveals that almost none of what we have learned in American public schools is even close to the truth.
More importantly, the deep knowledge of viruses garnered from studying both the original H1N1 flu and polio strongly implies that, if we continue to over-react and over-protect people from COVID 19, we risk turning it into a much more lethal virus. In order to understand why I am so concerned about that, first let’s look at how the original flu virus turned into the worst killer the world has ever known, one which not only felled older people and those with weakened immunity, but people in the prime of life including older children and young adults:
1) In general, viruses evolve with their human hosts to get what they need without killing us. Allowing us to survive actually benefits the vírus - they get to survive, too, and get passed to another human host.
2) During WWI, millions of people globally were terrified, malnourished and immuno-suppressed.
3) Soldiers lay in foxholes bleeding, coughing and vomiting on each other.
4) In this chaotic situation, the flu virus could "get away with" becoming extremely lethal and kill the host soldiers - because there were so many of them in close proximity - the virus could spread to another soldier almost as easily from a dead soldier as from a live one.
5) Having millions of people with weakened immunity allowed the flu virus to spread quickly and easily into new populations.
How did the H1N1 monster of 1918 become - evolve into - the relatively meek flu viruses of today? As the human population gradually recovered from WW1, the flu virus had to go back to the safety of peaceful coexistence with its human hosts, and to co-evolving with their immune systems in a way that would allow both species to survive. The real polio story is similar:
Incredibly, from our modern “civilized” standpoint, and as David Shumway Jones recently reminded me, the polio virus was not dangerous until natural herd immunity was disrupted by modern sewerage systems which short-circuited usual fecal-oral natural immunization.
In his seminal book, J. R. Paul explains that polio had probably been living in human intestines for thousands of years, and was mainly a gastrointestinal or GI virus. Only when the human-host-polio-virus balance was “upset” by children no longer putting their feces-contaminated hands in their mouths did polio evolve into a variant that started attacking the spinal cord. Even so, in most families where one child was paralyzed, most had mild flu symptoms and fought it off. It was absolutely necessary to develop good vaccines, based on known natural routes of immunization. But you can't always develop a vaccine, as AIDS has shown, and you need to develop shrewd public health approaches to control new viruses, based on top notch immunological theory. Our current everyone-stay-home approach is anything but enlightened by immunological theory.

Quite the opposite: As billions of people worldwide are currently in their homes, in close confinement, in situations of extreme fear and psychological distress, being told by their governments to go to the grocery store as rarely as possible, we are creating an environment which is more and more conducive for facilitating a virus with enhanced virulence in the future. How are we doing this?
1) Lowering everyone’s resistance to viruses by scaring, stressing, and discouraging them from normal activities including buying food and drink.
2) Keeping everyone at home in effect creates just the immunosuppressive scenario that fosters flu during the winter time - cold, close quarters and stress.
3) Discouraging direct human contact including hugging and kissing, and directly loving one another suppresses immunity. With social distancing, our species never would have made it this far.
4) Preventing young people from being exposed to COVID 19 short circuits “herd immunity.”
In stark contrast to the quixotic fantasies driving our stay-at-home American approach, which sees all new viruses as equally terrifying, British health authorities are taking the more sober approach, one which is solidly based on contemporary virological, immunological and evolutionary biological theory: letting children go to school, to acquire COVID 19 and become naturally immune is absolutely the best way to assure that this new virus learns to peacefully coexist with we human beings. Viruses have always been with us, and are part of our very genomes.
I have met few modern immunologists who believe, as Dr. Fauci does, that washing one’s hands 50 times a day is the best way to stay healthy. At the Ghost lab at the Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Immunology in the 2000s, we often discussed how over-cleanliness and over-protection from viruses and bacteria was a very poor public health approach: too much hand washing actually prevents normal development of the immune system, and leads to autoimmune and other immune-regulatory disturbances later in life. That “hygiene hypothesis” is well known and well accepted by most immunologists. (in American Thinker, April 14, 2020).
